In 1930 Rev. Claude Dunlap had a dream of a Church of God in the city of Bainbridge, Georgia. Immediately
he set out to make that dream a reality. He purchased a lot on East Water Street; purchased material to make a tent and with
the help of a dear preacher friend & his wife, made a tent and erected it on the lot. Services were started. The next
step was a tabernacle and later a church building.
Hard work, sacrifice and prayer went into the building and spiritual work of the church. In the late 1960's another dream
sprang forth for future growth and expansion. The church purchased property at 501 South Russ Street where the dream again
became a reality. We invite you to come visit us at our current location on South Russ Street.
